We are Maij Xyooj and Lou Lao. We are interested in the past, present, and future wellness of HMong people.

Teej Tug is a project that specializes in designing and collecting HMong items that highlight the significance of environmentalism in our way of being, doing, and thinking. Our products constitute material culture that have been handed down for generations to maintain our connection to the land and our ancestors; this connection helps us to maintain balance physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

Teej Tug offers an unsurpassed collection of vintage and new items, all of which are original handcrafted work that offers a blend of both centuries-old traditions and contemporary art forms, connecting you to the rich artistic culture of our HMong people.

At Teej Tug, we believe that the environment is the foundation of HMong knowledge systems. Thus, preserving HMong culture and knowledge requires preserving the environment. For this reason, we are invested in sustainable and clean production of our products.

We are based in the Midwest and cater to individuals who are interested in learning about the interconnections between HMong materiality and spirituality. At Teej Tug, we believe that preserving our culture and ancestral knowledge is of utmost importance, and we do so by offering natural and sustainably sourced cultural items that are both beautiful and meaningful.
